It�s been 30+ years since Pat Andrascik, Anne Hedgpeth, Anne Harrison, and Beth Marshall decided to extend the birding experiences they gained in a beginning birding class at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and form a birding club. This dream grew into an active bird club, the Todd Bird Club, with more than 50 current members.
Let�s get together and celebrate. On April 13, current members, former members, future members, and club friends are invited to join together for a �Reunion Bird Walk� at Yellow Creek State Park, one of the premiere birding spots in Pennsylvania and the location of our regular birding activities. We�ll meet at the park office at 8:00 a.m. and enjoy each other�s companionship while we renew friendships and share our love of birding. Spring migration will be underway, and we should be delighted by lingering water birds, shorebirds, and early warblers. Who knows, you may sight a life bird or find a wayward visitor.
We will continue our celebration with a luncheon, for the nominal cost of $5, at the beautiful environmental center. (See the registration form on page 10 of the January 2013 newsletter.) After lunch, we will have the opportunity to share photos, memorabilia, and memories with each other. If you have any to share, please send them to us so we can prepare them for the afternoon. Whether you are able to join us for all or part of the day, we look forward to seeing you and sharing the dedication to our feathered friends that has been the mainstay of this club for so many years.
