Trip Report
Todd Bird Club and guests birded Yellow Creek State Park. A total of 75 species were identified. The wablers were in full migration with ten different types found:
Yellow
Magnolia
Yellow-rumped
Black-throated Green
Blackburnian
Pine
Palm
Prairie
Black-and-white
Common Yellowthroat
One note the Pine Warblers normally found in the tree tops were foraging on the ground.
And the Prairie Warbler was one of the better finds of the day. It was in the trees about 10 ft off the ground on the trail to the observation shelter.
Also of note was heard but not seen the Louisiana Waterthrush.
